Every month when I get my new Oxygen magazine, I always love to the section on competitions and look at the pics of the girls in the competitions. It re-inspires me and gives me back a bit of my focus.

Cause let's face it: Without having a way of getting back focus and inspiration, how can you keep going and going?

2011 is the first year that there's going to be Bikini Class at the Arnold. I am now more determined than ever to get in the shape I want to be in and compete on a National level. I will succeed.

For myself, and for my family. Because I want my children to grow up seeing that a healthy lifestyle and a positive attitude are important. I don't want my children to be part of the 63% who are going to be obese by the year 20** (I think it was 2020 but I can't remember).

I am at a stage right now where I can see what I have to do. If I can remove 10lb more of fat, then I'll be able to see where I need to build, and how much muscle I need to gain.

I just wish I had a little more patience - I'm actually making quick gains, but I always expect too much of myself!

Hello, I'd like to introduce myself.

My name is Sunshine. Less than a year ago we moved from BC to Saskatchewan. Deep, rural Saskatchewan. So I went from a place where glam was encouraged to a place where I'm hated because I wear makeup even though I'm already married and therefore have no need to look attractive.

But, I've taken this opportunity to remake myself. Since moving here I've lost 45lb and taken part in my first competition. Figure Class, because this province didn't do Bikini Class this year. I came in dead last because I was not ready for the competition, but I still loved the experience. Now, I'm more determined than ever to shake 10-15lb of fat, gain at least 5lb more of muscle and next year I will own the Provincials in Bikini!

There's a gym here in town, but it is really gross and lame and the equipment is actually dangerous because it's so old and worn. We've bought over $3500 worth of professional equipment and have a great workout space in our basement. I'm also studying to become a personal trainer.

I'm literally the only girl in town who's interested in working out and competing. It's just nice to know that I'm not the only one out there.

And now, I'm going to go do my arm and shoulder day and a stellar interval workout.

If that is you, I'm so jealous! 24 hour fitness has no child care on Sundays...So, I'm doing the home thing.  Either popping in the DVD, Perfect Workout for Your Body Type or just killing myself with ab work today.  All the moms, I hope you have an amazing Mother's Day.  You totally deserve it!

I want to get back to when we dated weight by then. I hover between five-eight pounds away from that. Yes, those pounds are hard earned grown up pounds. My bum is rounder and my boobs fuller which I'd love to keep. I don't mind losing my lower ab flab. Since we cannot spot reduce, I rely on ab exercises, veganism, and low carb to target tone.

I admit it.  I've allowed life to make me a little less than a gym whore lately, but I'm back.  I'm here.  My wii fit just won't cut it.  I need to be out there pushing myself harder and stronger and longer.  I attained my goal, but still not quite toned.  So, let's see.  I'll reintroduce myself. 
1.   Name:  My name is Lovonne.  And I am still a gym-oholic. 
2.  Status:  I'm married with  two small children and I work outside the home. 
3.   Lifestyle plan:   Notice I neglected to use the word diet as it seems precursor to failure. I eat pretty organic, pescetarian (vegetarian diet  supplemented with fish.)   My food choices naturally hover between the Perricone Prescription and the Abs Diet, but again everything in moderation.  I don't seperate myself from any food.  I just weigh the value of a splurge such as a cupcake.  If I ate clean that day, I can go for a minor toxic.  Not a habit, but every now and again.  If I ate poorly or barely, I don't want crap to make up the bulk of my energy load for any given day....or the bulk of my butt for that matter.  I always question if any food is worth my sexy.  Usually, it's not.  I'm French.  I indulge in moderation.  A little of this.  A little of that.  A glass of red wine.

6.   Goal weight or dress size:  130
7.   Gym membership:   Bally.  Actually, just switched over from 24 hour fitness after Bally filed bankruptcy.  Backwards thinking, but hoping to save some jobs and stimulate the economy.  One person at a time.
